"Safe Space On Set" Charter

1

To ensure a Safe Space Officer (SSO) will be available on set at all times as a point of contact for actors (main and supporting) should there be any concerns.  The SSO will act as an advocate for all actors on set.

2

All expections must be agreed prior to start of filming, and anything further must be facilitated via the SSO

3

Actors are free to refuse any unforeseen requests (including script changes and costume changes).  Any changes will be completely transparent and given in good time so that the actor has opportunity to discuss this with the SSO and consider their response.

Any concerns raised will be treated with the utmost seriousness and confidentiality.

Unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with quickly and effectively.

All actors will have their privacy off-set respected, including on social media.  Consent must be given for contact off set and if a request is received to stop contact, it will be adhered to.

The on-set safe space is an opportunity for two way conversation, via the SSO.

9

An introduction session will be held on the first day of filming before filming begins to explain the purpose of the SSO and so all actors/SA's know who the SSO is.
